a collection of haiku

wet riverbed sand
a butterfly
rests

no sound
deafness filters her world
silent laughter

naughty giggles
from the school bus ~
full moon

living life
on the edge -

~~~~~
oh my god
in autumn’s mouth
pure pleasure!
hummingbirds dance
Much enjoyment from reading the haiku, Steven. Thank your for creating a very interesting blog, and for following mine. Best wishes for a marvelous Monday!
Your poetry is beautiful. Love your posts. I’m a poet as well. My stuff deals with grief & grieving. I write reference pertaining to King Arthur as well. Guess I’m a Jack of all trades. In addition I blog about words, quotes & everything in between. If you’re interested in poetry you can read some of the collection at JillNYC.com or ArthurianRomances.com. (And of course LoveOfWords.net) In answer to your question in a latter post, I’d really be interested in parts of your memoir that you’d like to share. I’m glad you’ve developed your voice through your situation, it’s definitely shows in your work.
All My Best,
Jill
Living life on the edge, I can relate.
Steven, I really enjoyed reading your haikus. I’ve always thought that haikus don’t receive the attention they merit. Your haikus are proof that they should!
I like the elegance of this!
The school bus one is hilarious.
