songs in cleated suede
cross hatched for flying
an acorn intuits itself
like a stone below a ripple
in the twigs of your hand
a generous breath of perspective
clarifies a downpour of intricacy
as a flap cracks the air

Not with porcelain skin..
Or eyes as deep as the sea..
With hair that flows in the wind..
Or fashion of the latest trend..
But in a darker manner.
With eyes darker than night..
And skin bronze in the light..
With lips, red and fragile..
And clothes dripping in blood..
